The fish migration passages enable eel and fish to bypass the Coffee Mier Wier on The River Thet.
Sometimes we find that temporary flint barrage has been interfered with, and, understandably, children will naturally want to play with the large stones. We want to encourage parents and elders to help children to understand the fine balance of our wildlife and how the provision of this passage facilitates the best possible survival rates for indigenous fish and eel populations.
Interference with the stone dam can hinder the effectiveness of this passage. Help us by reporting any interfering activity by using our contact page. Funding for the permanent fish pass has been now secured.
